Job Description
As Sr. Associate Dean for Regional Campuses, Dr. McLeod is responsible for overseeing the clinical education of 3rd and 4th year medical students at the six FSU College of Medicine regional campuses and additional training sites in Marianna and Immokalee, FL. In addition he serves as the Regional Campus Dean for the Pensacola Campus. Dr. McLeod works closely with both the education and clerkship directors of each specialty as well as a host of community faculty and hospitals to assure a high quality clinical educational program.
Biosketch
Dr. McLeod served on the teaching staff of the Pensacola (FL)Naval Hospital Family Residency program until 1981. He then practiced Family Medicine in rural Milton, FL for eighteen years. He was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Family Practice at the University of South Alabama in Mobile from 1990 to 2000, and mentored many students over the years. Dr. McLeod joined the FSU College of Medicine staff in January 2002 as the regional campus dean in Pensacola. He accepted the position of Sr. Associate Dean for Regional Campuses in February of 2009.
