Dr. Jill Prafke was born in Chicago, Illinois. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1983 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in German in 1986 from the University of Illinois, Urbana. In 1990, she received her medical degree from the Loyola University Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine. Dr. Prafke completed her residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1994. She practiced for six years in Riverside, Illinois before relocating to Pensacola and joining The Women's Group in September 2000. Dr. Prafke is currently the OB Gyn Clerkship Director, Pensacola Campus and an Associate Professor, Florida State University College of Medicine. Prior to accepting the role of clerkship director, she served as a clinical instructor for the FSU medical school, beginning with the 2005 inaugural class. Her ongoing interest in patient safety led her to the Beazley Institute for Health Law and Policy Online Masters Program for Health Care Professionals at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, and she completed a Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law in 2011. Dr. Prafke is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics, the Florida Medical Association and the Escambia County Medical Society.
