Dr. Quintero is a facilitator in the Medicine 1 and Medicine 2 courses at the College of Medicine. He is the medical director at the TMH Transition Center and Genetic Center, where he precepts medical students as well as family medicine, internal medicine and surgical residents. Dr. Quintero is also the medical director for the Physician Assistant Program at the College of Medicine. He maintains a clinical practice in Transition of Hospital Care. He was the medical director of the Charlotte Maguire and TMH Simulation Center at the FSU College of Medicine until 2009.

Dr. Quintero is currently the faculty advisor for the FSU College of Medicine Emergency Medicine Interest Group and co-advisor for the Wilderness Medicine Student Interest Group.

Dr. Quintero was a senior physician at the Department of Children and Families' Florida State Hospital, where he practiced emergency medicine, as well as maintained an outpatient clinic in HIV care. Prior to that appointment he was emergency physician at Tallahassee Community Hospital. Dr. Quintero also previously practiced family medicine in Carrabelle, Florida.
