Biosketch
Dr. Gallagher was born and raised in Stuart, Florida, qualifying him as a true native of the Treasure Coast. He is no stranger to the FSU College of Medicine family either, having graduated from the college in 2009. He completed his emergency medicine residency training in Michigan and a fellowship of emergency ultrasound in Massachusetts. Dr. Gallagher has enjoyed teaching ever since the beginning of his own medical training. At FSUCOM, he acted as an Anatomy teaching assistant. His academic roles expanded after graduation to include ACLS instructor and emergency ultrasound director. Before returning to Florida State University as a clinical educator, Dr. Gallagher was an assistant professor for the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Gallagher joined the Fort Pierce faculty in 2016. His new role as a faculty member has brought him full circle, and he sees it as a great privilege to give back to the program. Practicing emergency medicine locally has further gifted him the unique experience of taking care of family, friends and other longtime community members. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family.
