Mrs. Geletko has been a faculty member and instructor at the College of Medicine since 2005. She received her Masters in Public Health from the University of North Carolina and over her professional career she has worked in both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining the College of Medicine, Mrs. Geletko was an exercise analyst for an international consulting and management company providing services for governmental organizations. Preceding her consulting work, she was an epidemiologist for the Florida Department of Health specializing in reportable disease surveillance projects.

As a faculty member in the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Social Medicine, Mrs. Geletko’s research focus has been in addiction, particularly as it relates to tobacco/nicotine dependency in persons with behavioral health conditions, adolescents, and novel tobacco products. In addition to her research, she provides statewide leadership to the Florida Area Health Education Center (AHEC) Network in the development of model programs for training providers and other health professionals to treat tobacco/nicotine dependency. Part of this leadership includes involvement in FSU AHEC’s accredited tobacco treatment specialist training program and serving as the lead facilitator for a statewide learning collaborative focused on tobacco policy and service integration in behavioral health organizations. Mrs. Geletko also assists in program evaluation for several state and federal programs and serves as a mentor for students in their research endeavors.
