Dr. Lockhart coordinates the geriatric curriculum and training of the fourth year medical students at the Ft. Pierce Regional Campus

Dr. Lockhart is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.  He completed medical school with an MD degree in Medicine at Meharry Medical College in 2000.  He later attended Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans, where he completed an internship and residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2004.  He was also the assistant Chief Resident there from 2002 – 2003.  In 2007, he became a Clinical Assistant Professor and Clerkship Faculty for Geriatrics, teaching geriatric medicine to the medical students.  He later became the Geriatrics Clerkship Director in 2022 for FSU COM.  Dr. Lockhart is also the Medical Director for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of the Treasure Coast located in Vero Beach, FL.
