Gregg Stanwood Ph.D.

Associate Professor

Main Campus

I am a developmental neuropharmacologist and behavioral neuroscientist. Studies in my lab investigate the developmental origins of brain disorders through careful assessments of brain developmental trajectories following genetic and environmental perturbations. We are particularly interested in the long-lasting neuro(mal)adaptations that can be induced by environmental stressors and drugs during critical windows of development. To do this we integrate multidisciplinary studies of brain architecture, cell signaling and behavioral pharmacology. Prior to joining the faculty of Florida State University College of Medicine, I completed postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Pittsburgh and was on the faculty at Vanderbilt University.
