Dr. Fleischer graduated Summa Cum Laude at the Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) with a B.S. in Biology and completed his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine with High Honors. While he was a resident physician in the FSU Family Medicine Residency program at Lee Health, he taught at FGCU as an adjunct professor teaching his primary passions in medicine – Preventive Medicine and Global Health. Dr. Fleischer was a recipient of the 2019 Resident Teacher Award by the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, Outstanding Resident Award in Inpatient Pediatrics during his Intern year and the Director’s Award for Recognition and Appreciation of Dedication and Valued contributions to the residency program during his second year. Dr. Fleischer was awarded the Exceptional Resident Scholar Award from the Family Academy of Family Physicians in 2018. He has attended and lead multiple global mission trips to Honduras with the organization Volunteers in Medical Missions. He has joined different committees and organizations including becoming a member of the Physician Advisory Council for the VIVIDA Medicaid healthcare plan, Rotary E-Club of the Carolinas, and served on the CAUTI and SEPSIS review committee for Lee Health. He was also able to publish 4 journals during his time in Residency and successfully received grant funds from the Rotary International for the “Model Healthy Village” project in Honduras. Prior to medical school, he served as the CEO and Founder of Always Healthcare Organization, Inc. which was focused on providing healthcare resources and information to the underserved populations in Southwest Florida.
