Dr. Rodriguez is a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician, serving the Sarasota community. His work as the Family Medicine Clerkship Director for the FSU College of Medicine allows him to mentor and teach third- and fourth-year medical students, as well as PA students while shaping the curriculum and training.

Dr. Rodriguez is a family Medicine Physician, Board-Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is currently affiliated to Sarasota Memorial Hospital and First Physicians Group of Sarasota, where he has a traditional primary-care practice with five other physicians. He also served as the MOD Director (Medical Office Division) for the University Parkway office from April 2016 to April 2019. He has served the FSU College of Medicine at the Sarasota Campus since 2017 as Faculty and as the Clerkship director for Family Medicine and Rural Health since October 2018. Dr. Rodriguez is highly trained and experienced in the full spectrum of family medicine. He did an obstetrics track during his residency training, delivering around 250 babies and performing 123 C-sections. He is also highly skilled in minor procedures, aesthetic medicine and sports medicine.

Teaching has been one of his passions since early in his residency. He received the Teacher Resident award from the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine STFM in 2013.

After completing his residency training he served briefly as part-time faculty at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Fort Smith Family Medicine Residency Program while having a full-time practice as a primary care physician and ER physician.
