FACULTY FAMILY PHYSICIANS HONORED

At the FAFP annual meeting in July College of Medicine faculty member Dr. Cyneetha Strong
was installed as FAFP president and Orlando clerkship
faculty member Dr. Jennifer Keehbauch was named Florida Family Physician of
the Year.
In addition, the FAFP gave its Volunteer Educator Award to Dr. Leisa
Bailey, a preceptor for first- and second-year students at the College
of Medicine. Dr. Thomas Hicks, also a preceptor in Tallahassee, received
the FAFP Art of Medicine Award.
Dr. David Billmeier, part of the new clerkship faculty
for the Daytona Beach regional campus, received the FAFP Part-time Educator
Award.
In all, five of the six awards presented at the FAFP
meeting were given to physicians who are part of the College of Medicine
faculty.
Littles served as president of the FAFP in 1999 and has
contributed in a variety of ways. She is a past recipient of the FAFP Family
Physician of the Year Award, served on the group’s board of directors and
is its delegate to the American Academy of Family Physicians. |
