TMH ALUMNI ARE STICKING AROUND Pictured here are the Class of
2008 alumni who just graduated from the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital Family
Medicine Residency Program. And if you question the importance of having
residency programs in Florida, please note: All seven are remaining
in North Florida, including five in Tallahassee.

LOVE THOSE UPDATES
The upcoming issue of FSU MED magazine will have several pages of
newsy updates about the alumni from the classes of 2005 through 2010. New
achievements, new jobs, new towns, new children. Alumni, you should never
underestimate how interested your former campuses are in how things are
going for you. Being student-centered means that we keep caring about you
even when you’re no longer students.
So this is a reminder to you –
and your significant others, your parents and whoever else might be reading
– that
those updates are easy to do. (If that link isn’t
working, go to www.med.fsu.edu. Click on “Alumni & Friends.” Under the text
block, click on “Update Your Directory Information.” Then update away.)
We also appreciate getting your latest contact information, so we can
let you know about the latest developments here at the med school.
If
you have questions, email Alumni Affairs Coordinator
Alexa Von Staden or call (850) 645-9428.

SUPPORTING MEDICAL EDUCATION FOR FLORIDA’S FUTURE We
deeply appreciate the generosity of the College of Medicine’s many friends.
Without their financial support, many of the high-quality programs essential
to our students’ learning experience would be lost to budget adjustments
necessary in today’s financial environment. We extend our profound thanks to
the many donors who’ve responded to help support this medical school since
it was created in 2000.
The brick walkway surrounding the medical
school’s courtyard is filled with messages that donors have sent to past
graduates. Personalized bricks are still available, and now there are more
options than ever. The College of Medicine’s
Legacy Celebration Program offers other opportunities
as well.
If you would like to discuss making a gift in support of
the College of Medicine’s vital role preparing new physicians to meet the
challenges of Florida’s health-care needs, please contact
Wayne Munson,
assistant dean for development, 850-644-4389.
