During a time of shortage for primary-care physicians, the American Academy of Family Physicians names the Florida State University College of Medicine one of the country’s top 10 producers of family physicians. 
The program is expected to produce 10 new internal medicine physicians a year and will be the first allopathic residency program between St. Petersburg and Fort Myers along Florida’s southwest coast.
Even though she’s taking four classes as a biology major, studying for the MCAT and dancing with the FSU Golden Girls, Barbara Dietrick is also pursuing award-winning scientific research in Biomedical Sciences.
