In observance of World AIDS Day, the event will be led by student Eric Walker (pictured right). It is scheduled for 6 p.m. in the college’s atrium and will include HIV testing, educational booths, student performances and remarks.
Second-year medical student Tim Walsh spent his summer in Chicago conducting research to increase awareness of the HIV-prevention pill PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis). He presented his findings at the American Medical Association Research Symposium in Orlando.
Jeffrey Joyce, Ph.D., will be the College of Medicine’s new senior associate dean for research and graduate programs, effective Feb. 1.
