Among the most selectiveThe College of Medicine received nearly 7,200 applications to fill 120 spots in its Class of 2022, making it the third-most selective M.D. program in the U.S. for 2017-18 admissions. The college has appeared on the U.S. News & World Report list of "10 Medical Schools with the Lowest Acceptance Rates" each of the last three years.

Exploring rural health careFirst-year medical, PA and Bridge students embarked on the annual Rural Learning Experience (RuLE) trip in early June. Four groups of students visited rural hospitals, health departments and medical practices in Wakulla County, Marianna, Quincy and Cairo, Georgia, to learn more about health care in rural communities. |
