Sheri Creel
Public Health Reporting Section Administrator
Florida Department of Health
Sheri Creel oversees the Data Management and Analysis Unit and the FLHealthCHARTS Unit as the administrator for the Public Health Reporting section at the Florida Department of Health. As the administrator, she ensures the accuracy of data reported on the FLHealthCHARTS website and data provided to stakeholders. Additionally, she is instrumental in modernizing CHARTS to be more user-friendly. Prior to this, she accumulated over 11 years of experience working with health data in her roles as a supervisor in Data Solutions and Medicaid Quality, as well as an analyst in Medicaid Program Integrity. As a supervisor over the Operations section of the Data Solutions Unit, she provided technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders regarding Medicaid data. In her position as a supervisor in the Bureau of Medicaid Quality, she oversaw the collection of national and state performance measures. Preceding that, she was a lead analyst in the Bureau of Medicaid Program Integrity conducting audits of Medicaid claims responsible for the recoupment of millions of dollars annually.
Hanna Vanderheyden, MPH
FLHealthCHARTS Manager

Hanna Vanderheyden is the manager of FLHealthCHARTS.gov at the Florida Department of Health within the Division of Public Health Statistics and Performance Management where she provides project management, statistical, GIS and data reporting support for the FLHealthCHARTS.gov website. Ms. Vanderheyden graduated from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in 2021 where she earned her Master of Public Health. Previously she worked for the New Orleans Health Department where she worked on stakeholder engagement and the development of their Community Health Improvement Plan.
JoAnn Steele, MPH
Public Health Reporting Section Administrator

JoAnn Steele serves as a special projects coordinator for the Division, facilitating the development of online reports that address data needs for community health improvement planning. She has over 30 years of experience in public health program administration and leadership. She has worked in the program areas of WIC, maternal and child health, planning, evaluation and information technology. She has administered the statewide family planning program and provided oversight to Title V Block Grant activities. She initiated development of the Department of Health’s first internet site and established agency-wide procedures for site maintenance and update processes. She led the Bureau of Community Health Assessment in establishing initial standards for community health improvement planning and later served as an integral team member for the development of FLHealthCHARTS.gov, Florida’s premier public health data portal. She has a Master of Public Health from the University of South Florida.
