University launches “FSU’s Great Give: SOS” today, April 7

Florida State University donors, friends, alumni, faculty and staff around the globe are coming together for a one-day online giving event focused on support for FSU’s student emergency funds. FSU’s Great Give: Support Our Students (SOS) is asking for donations to aid students – including those at the College of Medicine - who are having financial struggles due to the COVID-19 pandemic.


The online event is underway today, Tuesday, April 7 until 11:59 p.m. ET at greatgive.fsu.edu.


Alumnus JD Byrd to lead Marianna program

Steven Spence, who has served as clerkship administrator for the College of Medicine's rural clinical training program since its inception in 2006, is relinquishing that role as of April 10. His replacement will be one of his former students - John D. (JD) Byrd (M.D., '14).
