Co-principal investigators Gregg Stanwood and Javier Rosado will lead the interdisciplinary team of FSU researchers studying the cumulative consequences of chemical and psychosocial stressors.

The Kumar Laboratory's decades-long research of epilepsy has produced another major advance, identifying a way to illustrate how proteins in the brain interact. The results were published in Frontiers in Synaptic Science.

Led by Angelina Sutin, a team of College of Medicine researchers have identified a potential low-cost method for predicting those at risk of developing dementia. Their findings were published in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease.  

With psychological distress among children and adolescents rising, and options for treatment unable to keep up, the College of Medicine is working directly with local pediatricians to seek ways of helping.

The M.D. Class of 2027 - 119 strong - celebrated a major milestone at its White Coat Ceremony, while 11 members of the M.D. Class of 2024 were inducted into the FSU Chapman Chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society.

The Summer Institute outreach program has drawn 880 high school students with an interest in medical careers to the College of Medicine since 2008, including 61 this year, representing 39 Florida high schools across 17 counties.
